Septic repair that finds the cause before we fix it

We check the whole system, tell you what failed in plain words, and go over your options before any work starts.

What your repair covers

  • Tank, baffles and tees repaired or replaced

  • Risers and lids repaired, sealed and secured

  • Effluent filters cleaned or replaced

  • Pumps, floats and alarms tested and repaired

  • Pipes and distribution box checked and repaired

  • A certified report when the repair needs one

Call us if you see any of these

  • Sewage backs up into the house
  • Drains run slow in several fixtures
  • A lid is cracked, sunken or missing
  • A pump or tank alarm keeps sounding
  • Wet ground or lush grass near the tank

Your repair, step by step

  1. We listen

You tell us what the system is doing and when it started.

  2. We inspect

We open the access ports, check tees, filter, pump and lines, and measure solids.

  3. You decide

We explain what failed and your options, then send a written contract.

  4. We fix it

We make the repair, test it with running water, and secure the lids.

What the numbers say

  • 18 in.SC tank rules set the outlet tee 18 inches below the liquid line, and a broken one lets solids out.
  • 10 to 20 yrsEPA says many septic pumps and controls need replacing every 10 to 20 years.
  • 1 to 2 yrsSC DES says to have your system inspected that often, so worn parts show up early.

Good to know before we start

  • We file the permits

When SC DES requires a permit for your repair, we file it for you.

  • Use less water meanwhile

Laundry, leaks and roof drains can overload a system, so cut water use while you wait for the repair.

  • Skip the additives

SC DES says additives are not necessary and some may be harmful, and to skip caustic drain openers.

Your repair questions, answered

Can a cracked septic tank be repaired?

Sometimes. A small crack that is not structural can often be sealed, but structural damage or a tank that leaks effluent needs more than a patch. We look first and give you the options in writing.

How do I know if a baffle or tee is broken?

Backups, slow drains, and grease or solids in the line toward the drain field can point to it. Only a look inside the tank confirms it, and you should never open or lean over the tank yourself. We check the tees through the access ports.

Do I need a permit for a septic repair?

SC DES decides. It may require a permit to construct and approval to operate for a repair, and the owner notifies DES before replacing the system or its parts. We tell you what applies to your repair before work starts.

What is a certified septic report?

A written report on your existing septic system, signed by us under our license. It says what we found and what the system needs, and we use it for repairs, drain field extensions and permits.

How do I avoid repeat repairs?

Have the system inspected every 1 to 2 years and pumped every 3 to 5, as SC DES advises. Keep vehicles off the drain field and flush only toilet paper and human waste.
